Frequently asked questions

Answers before you order.

Useful starting points for container buyers, custom-build customers, and anyone preparing for delivery in Florida.

Your questions, answered.

What container sizes do you offer?

Our published range includes nominal 20ft and 40ft containers, with new and used options. Standard, high-cube, door arrangements and modifications depend on the specific unit. Confirm dimensions and clearances in your quote.

What does one-trip mean?

A one-trip container has generally made an initial cargo journey before being offered for sale as a new / one-trip unit. It may still show handling marks. Ask for the condition details and photos of the actual unit being quoted.

Can I see the container before buying?

Ask the team about current photos, unit selection and inspection arrangements. Contact Florida Container before visiting the Fellsmere address to confirm an appointment and which units or project examples can be viewed.

Is delivery included in the advertised container price?

Request a written delivered quote for your exact property. Container cost, modifications, transport, unloading, site access and applicable taxes should be clearly identified before you place an order.

Can you add doors, windows or air conditioning?

The current portfolio includes custom roll-up doors, office conversions and climate-control modifications. The right scope depends on the container, intended use and required performance. Ask for a project-specific specification.

Can any shipping container become a home?

A shell is only a starting point. Suitability depends on the unit’s condition and history, the design, structural modifications, moisture and thermal planning, utilities, and the standards and approvals that apply to the proposed structure and site.

Are tiny houses on wheels the same as container homes?

No. A tiny house on a trailer, a house built for a foundation, and a converted shipping-container structure can have different designs, classifications and site requirements. Clarify the intended structure and use before comparing prices.

Are containers approved storm shelters or underground bunkers?

A standard shipping container is not an engineered underground bunker or rated storm shelter. Shelter performance, burial and soil loading require purpose-specific professional design and appropriate approvals.

Do you have offices in every city listed on the website?

The listed cities are delivery service areas. The published headquarters and fabrication center is in Fellsmere. We do not represent service-area pages as separate branches.

Can I pay online?

Online checkout is not offered on this website yet. Contact the team for a quote, current payment arrangements and order terms. The quote builder prepares an email request; it does not place or reserve an order.
